From: Pamela Chadwick I just figured the 19th & 20th of June came early this year and was very disappointed for all who missed it. Pam I have a funny along that line to share before I go eat worms and die over PNWG II. I got an email from my sister on Monday and she was all depressed. She had given her husband a Father's Day card, prepared him a very special dinner and the celebrated. But none of their 3 kids or 4 grandkids had bothered to telephone. They were both depressed over it. My sister said that she had meant to send a scorching letter to her kids but thought better of it. Now she's oh so glad she didn't :O) It had to be an epidemic caused by the full page father's day ads being run in the local newspaper. No less than four of our neighbors went out Sunday to an up-scale restaurant to celebrate Father's Day and were amazed that there wasn't a bigger crowd. Old folks sure are fun to watch. I often wonder what I'll be like when I get old :O) OK - off to find those worms -- ~John~ loving life in the slow lane |
Sounds like we might have two "bags of ashes" with nametags this time! ;-) It was great to meet you last year, and it won't be the same without you! We'll be thinking of you, as we lie awake all Saturday night, unable to sleep.... John Kangas <Snip> Getting married? I'm going to be able to hoist some shots here in the spirit of it all. I just got released from my caffeine exile. So life is a bit better. -- ~John~ loving life again in the slow lane |
