I was disappointed to learn that SwissGold no longer makes the filter for
the French Press, and Sweet Marias has sold out their entire stock. Maria
said they were trying to find a substitute, which I hope they can do. In the
meantime, I found and acquired some filters from the following seller at
ebay:http://stores.ebay.com/Cappojims-Coffee_W0QQsspagenameZl2QQtZkmHe had some defective SwissGold French Presses and has salvaged the filters
out of them. He does not have the filters listed, but you can email him to
inquire about them. They are silver, not  gold in color, but have the same
specs as what Tom and Maria sold.
If you do not use this filter in your press, I highly recommend it because
it allows you to use a fine grind.
