This is a multi-part message in MIME format. Some years ago I bought a very cheap wine. Immediately after decanting = the wine was very good. However, by the time I got to the second glass = (after the wine had oxidized a bit) the wine was significantly of poorer = quality. Finally, the third glass was undrinkable. Perhaps a similar phenomenon is at work with the dry vs. wet bean = approach we have been attempting.I made 2 batches of Brazil Fazenda = Ipanema Dulce. After 36 hours the wet roast method yielded a better cup = of coffee. Now, however, after 48 hours, the wet roast yields a flat = unsavory cup, whereas the dry roast brew is excellent. Hmmmm |
This is a common phenom with any of the senses. I'm not sure of the technical term for it, but the first bite, drink, touch, kiss, etc., always seems to be the most vivid. Repetition within a certain time frame can lower the intensity. Thus, the reason for vacations..We come back refreshed...:-) A. <Snip> |
Second and third kisses aren't bad either. And the worst I ever had was something beyond wonderful (not counting elderly relatives). Jerry Angelo wrote: <Snip> |
