Here's about what my road stove looks like. It's certainly not tippy and
cooks exactly like a big burner kitchen gas stove. I got mine from a Big 5
chain sporting goods store, with a newspaper coupon, for $15 -- looks very
slightly different and came in a molded plastic "suitcase". I've seen them sell
for $100, but the prices have really come down in the last several years. Had a
waiter wheel up to my table, at a ritzy restaurant, with one of these stoves and
make a big show of cooking and serving me piping hot shrimp Scampi. That's
where I got a jones for these. LOL. This last winter, I pan roasted in the
garage with this stove during low sub-zero temps, when it was too cold, even for
the popper in the box trick to work. I highly recommend one of these for 'Road
& Travel' coffee water heating. Be on the lookout for one.
Check it out.
