If you were having your last meal on death row, which coffee would you =
order? Maybe from Nicaragua---------
El Regretto?
True, I am sick

No question, Island of St. Helena Napoleon's Valley Estate.

It's a good thing I didn't have a mouthful of coffee when I read this or
it would have been all over the keyboard.
I used to play in a music group that played in the jail at Christmas
time. Every year somebody in the group would end up whispering, "Let's
play I'll Be Home For Christmas."

Whatever coffee that is as far out of season as possible

10) From: miKe mcKoffee
Which is why I'll stick with my original ISH answer. Chances are virtually
nil they'd have it and my first direct order from St. Helena took 5 months
to the day to arrive! (or maybe it was 3 months, it's been awhile and memory
fades..., but for this nonsensical discussion 5 months would be better:-)

Unless they mean that this is the last meal as in the last one that
they'll ring to you ... I wouldn't want to wait 5 months for a meal.

Hmmm, you make an interesting point. Even though Alfred's original query
indicated last meal on death row, which to me meant last meal before
permanent light's out, I'm not sure starving to death would be preferable to
alternate methods. Changing gears, as a recovering addict with going on 24
years Clean next month I can say my preferred method would be just give me a
gram of uncut China White and a syringe, instant Heroin OD. If you had to
go, what's your pick? (how's that for sick & morbid!:-)

On a serious note, nothing way cool about it at all, just the way my addict
mind thinks. Nothing cool about death, nothing cool about Heroin. Heroin
addiction is anything but cool, trust me on this one. Even though I've been
Clean from all drugs for almost 24 years, and haven't fired Smack for
something like 27 years, the active disease of addiction still pulls at me
if I let it. And "I" am powerless against it without the help of my Higher
Power. My power is through surrender. I thank my HP, whom I chose to call
God, for another Day Clean.
Yeah yeah yeah caffeine, sugar and lots of other things can be considered
drugs. Obviously that's not what I'm taking about, for me. You'll have to
pry my coffee mug out my cold stiff fingers!:-)

From the diner with the bottomless cup.

Mike,
A natural death by old age -- or maybe not, many natural deaths are
quite unpleasant & take way too long.
A friend almost froze to death in arctic waters. He had a survival
suit on,but after a few minutes of initial cold felt nothing. When
rescuers reached him he was unconscious. Ed always said it would have
been a painless & relatively pleasant way to die.
How about next to a big blast. Torn asunder, blasted into subatomic
particles, all over in a few milliseconds. Maybe the bottom level of a
nuclear test hole?
How's that for morbid?
Happy Halloween!

Mike,
Congratulations.
I quit smoking (tobacco) about 19 years ago. Not on par with your
accomplishment, but I understand a bit of what you're going through.
Here's to a long & clean life -- one day at a time.

There is the old pun of, "if you're going to dinner take a friend, if =
you're
going to die take an enemy" so keeping with that -- sky diving with no
parachute and land on someone you don't like!
