Topic: question on bread machines (4 msgs / 52 lines)

Like some of you I am thinking of a beefier stir crazy replacement, but
I like that the SC is so quiet.
Can anyone tell me if a bread machine motor would be a good quiet
replacement?
Thanks,
PeterZ

Our bread machine is fairly noisy. Of course, I've never tried it
without any dough in it, so not sure how much that contributes. It
may be a little less noisy than a popper, but hard to tell.

Hi Jeff, thanks for your reply. I guess I will make an effort to try
some out at the thrift stores, and I will report back.
Just thought.. why not adapt the crank mechanism from a whirly pop. Then
you could vary the speed...

I was thinking that I'd like to dump some green beans into my wife's
bread machine...just to see what it would do...be back later... ;-O
