Sometimes the auger slows or even stops when I'm roasting with my Z&D 
roaster.    A couple of times, I've had to stop the roaster and finish the 
roast in a popper.
Anyone else experience this Z&D problem?   How did you fix it?

If there is no binding in the roasting chamber itself, the first thing I =
would look at is the drive belt.
Unplug the machine and remove the bottom cover.  You will find a drive =
belt from the pulley on the motor shaft to the pulley on the auger drive =
shaft. On my machine it is an elastic belt.  There is a tensioner pulley =
which is positioned out of the way and not used.  I am assuming that in =
an earlier version the belt was less elastic and the tensioner was used.
Z&D will supply replacement belts, but they will void any remaining =
warranty if you open the machine.
When you get your machine working well again, if you want to take it to =
the next level you can do a search on the Coffee Geek fourm for Z&D =
updates.  If you put PJK for the author it will help. You should find =
pictures of my machine and a PDF schematic of the seperation of the =
roast heater from the rest of the machine.
