Something I didn't write but certainly thought was that Randy was still a newbie and didn't really have a clue as to what the crema grail was all about. As with many alt.c messages, this one went without response, but I blamed it on being fairly deep into a thread. However: <Snip> This, Dwight, I have a major problem with. What you wrote above goes against the nature of what the WWW is all about. Randy does not *need* to ask you permission to simply reference your vid or web page, regardless of what some single-minded corporations may be trying to prove in current courts of laws. Nor does he need to ask permission to provide a link to your page. The world wide web exists because of the ability to hyperlink, and indeed hyperlinking is the core of the www and was always intended to be. If Randy copied your words verbatim and did not give credit, or if he copied your vid and put it on his own site then you'd have valid arguments, and I'd be one of the first to stand up in your defence. I have to say though, if you want to deny the ability to link to your website, and and deny the ability to write a discourse (no matter how much you may disagree with) about what they saw on your website, then you chose the wrong medium for putting your thoughts, opinions, and media into. Mark Prince PS... here's a livia vid on my site: www.coffeekid.com/liviavid1.htm - tell me, is that pressure drop the same you experience? homeroast mailing listhttp://lists.sweetmarias.com/mailman/listinfo/homeroast |
