Just wanted to thank everyone who replied to Coffee Plant post, and/or kept
it going. I've decided to keep plant outside during day, and then bring in
at night until nights get slightly warmer. I think I will try to hold off o=
f
buying a grow light, and use those new 8 year life full spectrum bulbs you
can now buy first. They give good lumens, upto 1200, and use very low
energy! I will have to research how lumens translates into effective light,
though. I did hear that lumens are NOT the best way to measure this. I also
decided to use volcanic lava rocks on the top of the soil. Should work well
for retaining moisture. It is OK to use, apparrently, as it does fair well
with orchids. We"ll see how it works!
