Topic: Controlling Ambient Temperature (3 msgs / 66 lines)

For those at the mercy of outside temps, like me, here's a thought:
Find a way with box, small & thermostatically controlled fan & the exhaust
from the roaster to raise the temperature inside the box to a certain level.
The final trick is to rig the roaster to pull it's air from inside the box.
Anybody game for doing this with a WBI?

I've been doing this for awhile with a low tech cardboard box and
my WBI in the garage. Still hit second crack in acceptable times
in temps well below zero in Wisconsin. In fact, my winter coffee
tends to taste a little better than my summer coffee (longer roast
times). I have a feeling my HWG may not do that well in the winter
so will have the WBI ready to pinch hit.
