I ground coffee in this grinder and put some of the
grind in a fine sieve and found some very fine dust
going through on to a white plate. I put a paper towel
beneath the grinder and opened it and removed a
considerable amount of residual ground coffee that was
between the two grinding surfaces.  I weighed it using
a gram scale and a similar paper towel for tare
weight.  It measured 9 grams.  Not what I would want
mixed with my next mornings fresh roast! The good news
is that I called Kitchen Aid and explained my
concerns.  They had no hesitation in sending me a new
grinder which they said would be arriving in seven to
ten days.  After that I am to pack up my old one and
UPS will pick it up and they will take it back.
