Some of you know that I have been roasting with my PGR which runs on electricity. For the past several months, mainly because of laziness, I have been making a larger more improved version. It still runs on a normal household circuit, but I think it may do better on a 20 Amp outlet. Today I did my first roast, with UGH, and it went pretty well. I do not plan to drink the coffee, but it looks good.. roasted evenly, and in a good amount of time. It was a first roast, so I just let it run to see what would happen and to get the feel of things. The finished weight was 1058 Gr., a loss of 220 Gr, or about 17%.. not too bad. You can see a more extensive report here: http://homeroasters.org/php/forum/viewforum.php?forum_id2Look under the Kilogram Roaster Project thread. Any comments or suggestions gratefully appreciated.
