Returned recently from three weeks in Roma and Napoli, and you home
roasters can give yourselves a great big pat on the back, because I
didn't have a single shot at the "name" establishments in either city
that matched what I can do with my Pavoni Pro, HWP, and one of the
blends from Sweet Maria's, freshly-roasted. 
For the reference of future travellers, the places I tried in Roma
were (in order of quality, and leaving out really bad shots) Caffe
Farnese, Tazza d'Oro, Camillioni, Bar Moka at Termini,
Sant'Eustache. Napoli did a bit better, overall, with Caffe San
Domenico, Torrefazione San Domingo, Bar Nilo, Gran Caffe Gambrinus,
Scaturchio. --PR
