Mike turned me on to this source for FS bags many moons ago. Not sure = how they stack up cost-wise today....http://www.highlandgear.com/catalog/default.php?cPath=22Bob Dexter, Oregon Message: 20 From: "miKe mcKoffee" To: Subject: FS bags > RE: +Carmen Estate sabotaged my FoodSaver! Costco usually has a good price on a 6 pack box of 4 11" and 2 8" rolls. = But I seem to go through the 8" rolls faster than that and periodically = search the 'net for 6 pack or two of all 8" as the best price then available. = It's been about a year since I bought two boxes of 8's and don't remember = where I got them. Once in awhile FoodSaver site itself has decent sale on rolls = too. |
It's funny that I like gadgets as much as anyone, but I haven't done the FoodSaver thing (yet). One reason might be that we have quite a small kitchen, so don't really have space for the gadgets we now own, let alone more. But probably the biggest reason is, that I like to know what is the best deal, and that there is no explanation comparing the various foodsaver models and kits, so that I can understand which one is best for me. I sometimes wonder if this isn't done purposefully, so that people cannot price compare. Whatever, it bugs me, so they haven't gotten my $$ yet! Dave S. Bob Holland wrote: <Snip> |
Actually the web specials and outlet store on the Foodsaver site is the best place to buy the bags. For instance: 8" Rolls are 20% off List price at highlandgear, but are 50% off list at the Foodsaver outlet store. -Hope this isn't against Forum rules - discussing items available offsite.
