Hi everyone! I've been lurking for a couple of weeks, and getting re-excited about my co= ffee experiences by reading everyone's posts! I currently roast with a Zach & Dani's roaster (for the last 2 years or so)= , but now I want to be able to do different profiles. So I'm planning on an= i-roast. I'm the only coffee drinker, so I want to keep batches small, an= d also I want to keep budget in mind because I just ordered a Brewtus! Anyway, just wanted to say hi, and am looking forward to playing with my ne= w gadgets. I will probably be needing more advice once I get everything tog= ether, I'm sure! Congratulations on the Brewtus.Have one for 10 days and am impressed.Your coffee consumption will go up considerably with an espresso machine if possible think Hottop or RK drum. |
Welcome to the List! And just ordered a Brewtus, sweet machine. What grinder will you be pairing with your new Brewtus? welcome Christina, nice choice of espresso machines. The journey is long and sweet. RK |
This is a multi-part message in MIME format. What grinder will you be pairing with your new Brewtus? I ordered a Rocky. I'm using a Capresso Infinity now for brewing in a TV Moccamaster. Your coffee consumption will go up considerably with an espresso machine if possible think Hottop or RK drum. I was thinking I would probably be going through more coffee, especially when first getting the hang of it. The Hottop or Gene cafe may be next year's upgrade! I was originally thinking rationally, and starting out with the Gaggia Espresso, or even the Silvia. But as I read more & more, I decided I didn't want to have to futz with things like temp surfing too much, and had the luxury of having enough $$ in my savings to splurge. I looked at the S1 too, but didn't have quite enough counter space. I'll also admit to buying the Panama trifecta, but I haven't touched it yet! (I had gotten some of the Carmen prior to that though). I couldn't pass it up because one of the first coffees I roasted that I really liked, was a Panama Boquette/La Berlina from 2004. Well, my i-roast came today, so I'm off to try it out! Christina p.s./fyi: I tried subscribing 2x before this, with Hotmail accounts. I got the list messages ok, but couldn't post. I suspect hotmail altered my e-mail address somehow so the list wouldn't recognize it. -- Search for businesses by name, location, or phone number. -Lycos Yellow Pa= geshttp://r.lycos.com/r/yp_emailfooter/http://yellowpages.lycos.com/default.as=p?SRC=lycos10">http://yellowpages.lycos.com/default.as=">http://r.lycos.com/r/yp_emailfooter/http://yellowpages.lycos.com/default.as=p?SRC=lycos10 |
Hehe, Sounds like another one hooked! As far as originally thinking = rationally, probably most of us did at one time but we got over it in a hurry. Terry |
