I thought about that too but since the vast majority of scone recipes I
checked out didn't I opted not to. Can't see that it would hurt, just be
more a vanilla scone versus more traditional scone.

We both know how important resting the roast is yet we both don't always
wait! Just this morning impatiently made an Americano with 2&1/2 day vac jar
rested ISH Napoleon's Valley, cup not quite there yet as I knew it wouldn't
be. Very good, but I pretty much know it'll be better tomorrow and better
yet Sunday. (Last of my ISH stash boo-hoo, but it's gotta go before it
fades)
