I recently finally received my latest coffee craze additions. First was a Bodum 12 cup stainless steel thermal press (already had a glass 4 cup or so press). Made a couple of pots so far with it and coffee tastes great. The second was a Panorama Window Micom Electric Dispensing Pot - 169 ounce unit. Boy has improved my coffee drinking experience a lot. Before I was using a cheap 4 cup drip maker for small amounts of coffee most of the time as I hated bringing out the electric hot water pot to heat a couple of cups of water and the time it took to heat the water then make a press pot or an Aeropress when rushed for work. Now that 4 cup maker sees no usage and is off the shelf with the 10 cup one. Now I'm making AeroPress or french press for small amounts, a Bodum vacuum unit for making coffee for work thermos and the travel mug, and the 10 cup Bodum stainless press for weekends at home (when I want only one type of bean for the day). I guess my next purchase will have to be a Technivorm. That will round out my coffee equipment nicely. I still haven't gotten into espresso, so I guess I'll just have to put all that money into greens instead. madhemi ..... hemi roasting greens |
Oops forgot I finally got a decent grinder, it's a Solis Maestro Plus. This mill is a huge upgrade from any I have had before, more consistent grind, no powder, and a good range of grind. I can finally use a finer grind for my coffee without having to deal with tons of powder. Oh, what a difference in the brew. madhemi ..... drinking hemi-perked on the road |
