Hi All, I'm in need of ordering more valved plastic coffee bags than SW will provide for me. After doing some googling, I found some suppliers that want you to buy 1000 or more bags. Does anyone have recommendations for places I can order more than 25 but less than 1000 bags? Thanks in advance for all your help! Dave |
When I send coffee to people, the zip-lock feature is not important. for those occasions, I use a heat sealing bag (which I use my iron to close). I'm in Canada, but I use a place that mails to the US as well, called Greenbeanery.cahttp://tinyurl.com/hly59I pay $39.95 for 100 bags 10 ounces bags. The bags come in a larger size as well (one pound), and you can buy 1 or 100 or 300 of each kind. The postage to the US is about the same as the postage from Toronto (where the company is located) to my home in Alberta. I have no idea why. I buy my ziploc bags from SM. If you order each time you get coffee, they add up quickly. vicki DAVID SOLEIL wrote: <Snip> |
Vicki, I know your intent was to help out a fellow Lister but remember to respect our Hosts. http://www.sweetmarias.com/maillistinfo.html#maillist.READMEYou can always send someone a competitors information off List. Thanks Mike. I made a distinction here for several reasons: ** SM does NOT sell the kind of bags I mentioned at all; ** I clearly stated that I get all my ziploc bags from SM; and, ** Tom and Maria are pretty clear that they have no desire to be our go-to guys for bags, but instead make them available to us, in limited quantities, as a courtesy. That being said, it might be considered as a first step down a slippery slope, and, in retrospect, you're right I should have replied off list, since they also sell things that SM does supply (though when you look at the cost, they certainly are not competitors in my world). Thanks for speaking up, Mike. vicki miKe mcKoffee wrote: <Snip> |
Dave, email me off list. I have and have access to valved bags. Will you heat seal them? ginny ---- DAVID SOLEIL wrote: <Snip> |

Ahhh, c'mon miKe, place another order for those beautiful valve bags and = let me know when they are available. I am running slightly low again and you really did a great job on the previous bags you had made. As usual, the minimum order will be way over the SM max order and all will be off-list = so not to disrupt coffee talk. All of the coffee I roast and give away in those bags comes from our = host and hostess, and the more bags of coffee I give away the more green I = buy from SweetMarias. That doesn't even count the 1% of the people I give = coffee to that are so impressed they actually become home roasters and by their stuff from SM too. Terry |

Sheesh, enough!! I was clearly wrong because the commercial website I referenced did, in fact, sell products that SM also sells. I am 99% sure miKe would not have said anything if I had supplied a reference to a place that only sold bulk bags. Vicki |
Hey Vicki, The list just gets this way every now and then, and people move on. Please don't take any of this personally, just consider yourself officially one of the family. Most of us that have posted here have at one time or another really appreciated an edit function for our posts, but........ Terry |
..... but the family edits it for you... Welcome to the family! You're one of us... Brett On 7/26/06, javafool wrote: <Snip> -- Regards, Brett Mason HomeRoast Zassman |
