(I posted about this coffee a few days ago. To recap: It is from a plantation in Kaanapali Maui that went out of business a few years ago. It is from Yemeni stock and was the cause of a lot of favorable comment. SM carried it, but I bought mine from another source after SM ran out. Mine was already past crop when I bought it, but still pretty good.) Roasted Sunday 7/23 in Poppery (1) to City+. Brewed single cups in Melitta #2 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. (My usual morning coffee drill.) Cupping Notes:Aroma was earthy and slightly fruity, but I couldn't pin it down. Flavor similar -- sort of earthy, dry leaves, with a bit of spice -- maybe clove. Pretty good acidity, not bright but not dead either. I was surprised how good it still tasted. It was probably richer when it was fresh -- or to put it another way, it is milder now, less wild, but still well worth drinking. BTW, no special storage, although it had never been exposed to excessive heat, cold or humidity. Andy Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
