At a time that was otherwise turning out badly, I stumbled upon a  
good coffee shop in Chicago today. This is Istria, located under  
(next to) the Metra/South Shore station at 57th St. in Hyde Park. I  
guess I shouldn't mention the source of their beans, but I will say  
it is the roaster of the freshest beans in all Chicagoland. That  
wouldn't matter, though, if they didn't know how to pull a shot, and  
they did. Given that it was about 10:30AM and already around 90  
degrees, I opted for an iced latte, and it was flavorful, sweet, and  
not bitter at all. For anyone who happens to be in the area of the  
Museum of Science and Industry, it's a good stop for joe.
