Topic: electric Kettles (5 msgs / 90 lines)
1) From: John - wandering Texas
Several weeks ago somebody posted a URL for a very fast cordless kettle. I
thought it was a Russell Hobbs but cannot locate it again. Any help would
be appreciated - you really don't want to watch me early in the morning
trying to brew with the super (but slow process) Cona - I'll be vibrating so
bad I won't be able to light the spirit lamp :o)
TIA
John

Well, I wasn't going to brag about what my wife gave me for my birthday, but
you asked, John...
Yesterday, one of the presents from my lovely wife was a Bodum Ibus cordless
water kettle, another was a Bodum FP (I have been hinting that one for some
time, the kettle was a very nice surprise). The Ibus, purchased from our
host, heats water *very* fast. Gets it ready for a FP or a vac pot in very
short order! Much faster than even a microwave! Had that first FP out in
very short order this morning.
Thanks Mary!
Jim.

Now that is interesting - this Russell Hobbs electric kettle was for
sale about two months ago in our big French supermarket here. We were
in need of a new kettle at the time and tossed up between this one and
the Moulinex Aqualia - decided on the Moulinex because I didn't think
I could cope with the very bright colours of the Russell Hobbs. I
checked this supermarket again last week and there is no sign of them
- either sold out or removed from sale.
Cheers
