Happy Easter to my Christian friends here. Happy Spring fertility rites =
day to everyone! {What do bunnies and eggs mean to you, anyway?)
I'm finding that my City+ Coasta Rica/Sumatra blend works really nicely =
with milk chocolate eggs..

Bunnies - good food when slow roasted correctly. eggs - also good food, but dyeing them is a kick. As a pagan, I think I should think about spring renewal, but it just doesn't happen. Easter = good time with friends and family. Off to pull a shot or two of sidamo/harrar/ghimbi/idido and check on the egg I am dying black...(good fertile soil you know) At 07:01 4/8/2007, you wrote: <Snip> John Nanci AlChemist at large Zen Roasting , Blending & Espresso pulling by Gestalthttp://www.chocolatealchemy.com/ |
Has anyone tried to dye a bunny? Mine keeps hopping out of the saucer with the vinegar and tablet in it.... Brett On 4/8/07, Alchemist John wrote: <Snip> -- Cheers, Bretthttp://homeroast.freeservers.com |
As a matter of fact yes. You put it in a tub with the vinegar and dye at the bottom. As the rabbit discovers it's feet are wet, it grooms. With wet dye covered paws, it is soon colored head to tail :P At 10:12 4/8/2007, you wrote: <Snip> John Nanci AlChemist at large Zen Roasting , Blending & Espresso pulling by Gestalthttp://www.chocolatealchemy.com/ |

--Apple-Mail-89-178973984 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Type: text/plain; charset -ASCII; delsp=yes; format=flowed Well, I'm Jewish, but growing up we always did the eggs/baskets/ chocolate bunny thing anyway. (The Italian bakeries had incredible Easter cookies--as long as it wasn't Passover, we could bring them home). It took all the discipline we had not to start nibbling on the bunnies before Sunday---usually, ears first. When I hit my teens, I lost my taste for milk chocolate and began to crave dark chocolate (which I'd always liked anyway). Unfortunately, the dark chocolate eggs and bunnies (especially the solid ones) are tougher to find and are more expensive. Jeesh - I've been away from the list for a couple of days (compter problems not totally solved - I'm using a thrift store keyboard til the Apple Super Powers or something like that comes to my house to repair a Bluetooth gizmo problem). Here I am reading this thread - and all I can think is, "Hmm - chocolate bunny ears... bet they're half price today..." Yes, you people ARE sick, & I guess I fit right in here! Lynne (man, just move a Delete key over ONE space on a keyboard, & it's enough to cause me complete havoc!!!!!! I'll be happy when my old keyboard is back in service.)
