I learned from Boyds that all three models they offer are basically the same. The KBS is an older line and also offers the Thermos option. The GCS is a newer, more modern design. They all brew the same apparently and have the same capacity. I was wrong however about the brewer housing. It is actually mostly metal - aluminum probably. There is some plastic also. It appears very well built, reminds me of something built in the 60s. The drip arm that comes out of the housing over the filter basket it completely removable. It is held on by a simple rubber gasket. This is convenient for easy cleaning since it can touch the swelling coffee. - Andy homeroast mailing listhttp://lists.sweetmarias.com/mailman/listinfo/homeroast |
