Would you say that it's somewhat comparable to a DP Ethiopian?

well the only ethiopian i've tried so far is the harar, and i would say it is
nothing like that. i get the blueberry notes in the harar, and i don't notice
anything like that in the burundi. but i do really like the harar, raimi,
sulawesi, and sumatra, and i also really like this one. not saying it is
exactly like any of those, but if you like those types of coffees you will
probably like it. it's a good-sized bean and roasts evenly without any
problems. but i should say that i roast with the stovetop popper and not the
air popper, so it may be a little brighter in the air popper.
hope that helps a little...sorry i'm not too good at detailed descriptions
yet. still working on that. :o)

I've found the Burundi, taken to City has quite a bit of spicy, peppery, even
smokiness throughout. From nose to taste I get the sensation that I'm drinking
liquid beef jerky!

One of my favorite coffee regions is in deep trouble. How do I react

Another sad example of "Man's inhumanity to man". My "bleeding heart" =
reply to your question would be for all of us to personally resolve to =
commit acts of kindness whenever the opportunity presents itself and =
hope that good really can conquer evil. Most of us, no matter what =
race, sex, religious belief, lifestyle, etc., are just trying to "make =
it" in this world the best we can. A little help is always appreciated =
, and sometimes results in big ways.
If anyone has the answer to John's question, spread the word, maybe we =
can do something.
