Have anybody participated in Coffee Fest Seminars? There will be one in Chicago (2 h from where I live) , and I was wondering if it is worthy to be there. There will be some workshops on Coffee Roasting that I'm planning to attend as well, but I rather spend my time at home drinking my coffee, then be at Workshop/Seminar that doesnt add any value or just marketing for specific company/equipment. Any help welcome!! Silas, I went to a few free ones here in Denver four years back. One was on espresso & was hosted by Dr Josuma (Malabar Gold fame), another on basics for cupping. While they were free, I learned a lot from all of them. The Q/A periods were especially good. I registered as a micro roaster and took several family members with me as staff. It was a blast & I would love to do it again. Bob |
Tks Bob and Scott for the answers It is enough to me to take the decision to be there. I will tell the history after Regards Silas |
Bob and Silas, I took the free "Blending for Espresso" by Dr, Josuma. Very informative. Got to spend some quality time with him at his booth. Lots of fun. He was very helpful to another who was about to open a Roasting Business. Several other free seminars were great as well. Seattle is a big one every year.
