Topic: Disappointing news from Swissmar (3 msgs / 98 lines)
1) From: Renaud Dreyer
I just got a call from Swissmar, and was really disappointed to hear
the following:
* Anthony Lemme is no longer with them
* Swissmar asked me to send back the unit, and said it would take "4
to 6 week" for me to receive either a replacement or a repaired unit!
Now, I was under the impression that, in the past, Swissmar would
immediately send a replacement for a defective unit, and get UPS to
pick up the defective unit. Am I wrong? I asked to speak to the
"supervisor", Julie, so we'll see how this ends up. Ciao,

You are correct.

Very sad to hear that Anthony is no longer there...he's truly a likeable
fellow who enjoys engaging the customer. Maybe we'll see him pop up at
another company and be instrumental in bringing us the next innovation in a
1lb roaster ;). You are remembering correctly as to Swissmar sending
replacements. On several occasions, I've heard of them sending a
replacement when the unit was under warranty. Now, probably those cases
were ones where they decided it was necessary. After you've been spoiled by
home-roasting, 4-6 weeks is a long time to be without the product, which is
ample reason to have a backup roaster.
