OK, I know this has probably been discussed a lot, but since I don't know if there is an archive to search through old posts and since I saw the grinder post on the Maestro Plus, I figured I would ask. I currently use a Zassenhaus hand coffee mill. It seems very good to me. It also suits my purposes in terms of use and convenience. Is there much of a difference in grind quality between a Zassenhous mill and electric grinders such as the Virtuoso, Maestro Plus, Rancilio Rocky, or Mazzer Mini? A friend of mine recommended the Mazzer Mini if I could afford it. Just wondering if there is a noticeable difference in grind quality for espressos and then up to drip between the two types. Eeek. The archive is broken. I went to the which has a link to the archive at and it's saying "can't find the server at lists.sweetmarias.com.". I seem to remember another site that had an archive of this list. Anyways. The Zassenhaus grind is a fairly good grinder other than having to put the effort into turning the crank by hand. The homeroast list isn't on the sweetmarias.com server, but rather the sweetmariascoffee.com server.
