Topic: Disappointing [now good] news from Swissmar (2 msgs / 36 lines)

I just talked to Julie, who called me back and was very nice and
accomodating. She told me that Swissmar had changed their policy on
returns because some people had received a replacement unit and never
returned the defective one. When I offered to give her my credit card
number as a guarantee, she accepted and told me she would send me a
new unit at the beginning of March (they're out now) and send a UPS
pick-up.
I certainly now feel a *lot* better about my purchase of an Alp (which
is an outstanding product, and gives me the body and sweetness I crave
for in my espresso) knowing that Swissmar still stands fully behind
their product. Ciao,

Yes... I think they are very reasonable over there at Swissmar, but I know
they have had some trouble with not receiving return roasters. If a problem
is clearly mechanical and dramatic, please let us know too. We can help.
