I've one of those chrome La Pavoni home pump machines, known variously as 
"Inn" or "Pisa" or whatever. I unscrewed the screen for cleaning and noticed 
that the holes do not go all the way to its edges. That is, there are 
indentations, but it's not perfectly flat (concave when in place) and it 
looks like, maybe, at manufacture, there should have been perferations at 
each little dent, but they stop about half way out.
I'm wondering (1) if this is intentional--my suspicion is that it's not--and 
(2) if I would get different performance with a new screen (presumably hole-y 
all the way across). 
Ideas?
