Topic: Cory glass filter and Hario (17 lines)
1) From: mgeis
Over the last several weeks I have reported on use of two old Silex filters,
a ceramic one and a glass one (Lox-In), both of which are held in place
through the use of a hook attached a spring that is itself attached to the
filter, with my Hario. Yesterday I got my Cory glass filter that is held
in place due to its own weight. I am pleased to say, after three uses, that
it works almost as well as the two Silex filters despite the fact that it is
not
held firmly in place by the spring + hook device used by the two Silex
filters. Since the Cory filters are usually cheaper than the Lox-In
filters -- I
haven't seen the ceramic filter offered for sale as a separate item -- I
would suggest those who want to have a cloth/paper filter-free all-glass
brew with the Hario to spring for a Cory filter.
