Here is a first draft of a membership application.
Please answer the following 5 questions. Correctly answering all five
qualifies you for membership. These are bare minimum requirements. They in
no way indicate our normal degree of obsession.
1. Do you roast your own beans?
2. Are you embarrassed if friends come over and you can only offer coffee
from one country?
3. Have you prepared coffee from over four countries in the last month?
4. Do you use more than three methods to prepare coffee?
5. Have you owned more than 1 grinder (blade grinder do not count!)?
Obviously, yes is the 'correct' answer to all questions.

Yes. HWP, HWG, Melitta Aromaroast, and a 2# fluid bed roaster I am 3/4
finished with in my garage. I've also found the most unique 'ready made' 6"
diameter x 9" long perforated stainless drums, that were originally intended
to go on a restaurant ice table to hold the ice away from food containers.
I bought them for a steal, and intend to fix up one to use on a grill
rotisserie (more to come on that later...)

from one country?
Ummm...Yes. I usually roast two or three types of beans at a time, and I get
anxious when it drops down to one.
<Snip>
Yes. Four? Heck, I've probably brewed coffees from at least fifteen
different countries this month.

Yes. Lessee...La Pavoni #PUBS single group commercial espresso machine, at
least a half dozen Chemex pots, a Melitta cone pourover, two Bunn GS
machines, an ibrik, a one cup Melitta automatic, a stainless percolator, a
moka pot, two press pots, an antique one cup Silex drip, a Gaggia Espresso
(boxed in the basement), and a 40 cup church style percolator (whew!).
<Snip>
Yes. Currently have two grinders on the countertop. One is a commercial La
Pavoni ZIP espresso grinder. I have a Turkish grinder, a hand crank
grinder, and four burr grinders I've stored away due to upgrading or wearing
them out.http://www.anywhy.com/setup.htmDo I qualify?
