Joel, Coffee is a social drink, and its natural that coffee lovers chat. When you get the (OT) headers just press delete. Don't let it spoil one of the best lists on the net. And to put it back on topic.... I'm in a world of hurt because I just had THE most spectacular cup of coffee and have no idea what it is. I guess I didn't log it when I stored it. So 1) had to admit I'm not a world class cupper, 2) all my beans are really good, but most important.. 3) gotta learn to really be careful in logging. I would love to repeat this one over and over. Yes, a coffee picnic, that's the ticket. Hum, let's see, a waldorf salad with pecans soaked in espresso and rolled in powdered chocolate, sandwiches with a meat loaf that had espresso used in it...it's good, don't laugh, and, oh, for dessert, chocolate covered espresso beans. Naturally, we wash it down with coffee porter, homebrewed, and lots of thermosed Amercanos afterwards. I need a solar powered espresso machine and the new Mazzer magnetic grinder that runs off the earth's magnetic field alone. Hmmm. At our house, we call chocolate covered coffee beans "Deer Turd". Yummmmmmm!! -Greg At 02:07 PM 10/17/2002 -0400, you wrote: <Snip> homeroast mailing listhttp://lists.sweetmarias.com/mailman/listinfo/homeroast |
From: "The Scarlet Wombat" <Snip> Also on the menu for the grill espresso/terriyaki or espresso/london broil marinaded steak and/or hamburgers, plus additional desert goodies espresso/chocolate brownies, espresso cheesecake, espresso chocolate chip cookies. (just a couple more off the top of my head:-) <Snip> First one ok forget the second, better options than thermosed. Bring your Cona Vac Pot, vac'd whole beans (or roast them over the fire then and there) and Zass grinder. Or maybe Cowboy style coffee or Moka Pot or Ibrik. But I'd also be bringing my home bottled white chocolate Kona mochas, a gallon or two to share! (6 double shots Kona Vienna melange' roast per 1/2 gallon batch) <Snip> grinder <Snip> See above 'field' options. Though when they be invented I be a gittin'!
