Well, my trusty Yama bit the dust this morning and made it's last pot. My wife calls me up and tells me she broke the lower globe where the neck joins the pot portion while pulling the two halves apart. I'm not sure, tho, that it was her fault. I recall hearing a funny 'crack' this morning while making my coffee, but I don't recall what I was doing with the pot at the time. It was after brewing while I was cleaning up. Hmmmm. I'm thinking I cracked it and she just finished the job. She's washed it prolly 50 times, so it's not like she is a neophyte vac pot washer (even tho she hates coffee). It gave me two years of trusty service (on the original filter cloth, no less).
But, the timing is apt as I have a Bodum MiniSantos on the way from Amazon.com (at the short-lived $50 sale price and free shipping). So, we'll see how they compare.
I may order a new one from Tom, depending on how the Bodum pot works.
