From: "Tom & Maria" <Snip> Great, I won't have to buy 2000 next time! (though the black with gold trimmed oval window ones I got are very elegant:-) I suspect they'll be the ones from Pacific, did you look at the style from Signaturebag.com? They were substantial less than Pacific when I priced them... 2000! But then again I have an inkling that you roast a lot! I have
looked at the signature bag samples but we have stuck with the more
expensive Pacific Bag ones because 1. I know they use Bosch valves 2.
I thought the signature samples had zip seals that gripped a little
off: one of the sample bags wouldn't zip shut without a lot of a
hassle. I did really like the style choices like the oval windows
though...
BTW: I had some unexpected developments this weekend in
roaster-ville. I'll put it in another post.

From: "Tom & Maria" <Snip> Yeah, 2000 was the Sig minimum order and at the time I couldn't find 1/4# valve bags in small quantities. (still can't, you don't have them up on your site yet:-) I only kept 200 bags, sold the rest at cost to other homeroasters before Christmas. BTW, the Sig' bags use the patented valves also. Zip shut wise I haven't had a problem, but do know the Sig' bags are a bit lighter weight than Pacific, which means they heatseal better with the Foodsaver! Single 5sec shot with Sig's makes perfect permanent seal, takes 2x5sec with Pacific's for assured heat seal. I always heatseal the bags when gifting coffees. <Snip> I got a bunch of miKe's bags, complete with the nice oval window, and the quality seems excellent to me. I wouldn't worry. I like the way they look much better than if they were just clear plastic. homeroast mailing listhttp://lists.sweetmarias.com/mailman/listinfo/homeroast |
