I've taken all of your concerns and helpful suggestions under consideration,
and improved upon the original concept. But no way am I going to share the
profits. Click for image.http://www.pbase.com/image/16409007Martin Lipton

No, no. Please don't think that. I thought I was poking fun at myself. I
just got to thinking how ridiculous this dog bowl business was getting and
how amusing some of the responses were. Just my feeble attempt to "one-up"
the AlpoRost suggestion. Hmmmm. Now that I look back, it IS an interesting
shape. You don't suppose . . . . . .

Martin, please note I said pi$$ed off. After all you did show a bed pan ;-)

Sheeeesh! Don't you know that pi$$ed off means you are being ironic,
whereas in the previous message you made a typo and wrote pi**ed off. The
asterisks clearly shine a different light on the matter. I'm sure that when
I am on the list longer I won't be so solicitous.

Well I think I'll just let a sleeping dog lay.

And here I thought you were serious (after laughing of course). I figured
you just went for the other end of the spectrum .
Actually, it really isn't a bad shape and all. Find a SS one and
maybe...shaking my head...I just don't know.....

Is this your cooling method???

Hey Martin, ever heard of Kopi Luwak??

Martin, in all seriousness, I think your roasting method is really cool.
One of the things I enjoy most about this list is the creativeness of many
members. I have been stretched and would've never tried profiling or
roasting over wood if it hadn't been for this list. Hey, I even started a
tamper business because of this list, www.thortamper.com! Who knows when my
Springer Spaniel needs a new bowl, it may have coffee flavors before he gets
it!

Well, it does have that lip around it which would allow you to get closer
to the beans w/o them blowing all over the place. I think you might not
want to show off your new roasting pan to people who aren't as
"enlightened" as we CSA members are. Just keep a popper around, point to
it and say that many people use it for roasting...no lie. :-)
