Too long 1st crack < development and < it'll flatten the taste out IMO. Going too dark will pretty < much kill it < too. Too long a total roast doesn't cut it either even if < kept lighter. Too < short or fast a roast and it's too shallow lacking < complexity. As much as I < roast Kona still am not 100% satisfied with any roast profile < I use (and maybe never will be:-) Of course YMMV.
