I followed the instructions from the FR people on extending the roast
time on the FR and was quite successful. I put the FR into the
cooling cycle after 2.5 minutes for 15 seconds, returned to the
roasting cycle, and then cooled it for another 15 seconds after
another 2.5 minutes. I managed to extend roasting time to about
8 minutes 45 seconds, reaching the beginning of second crack. In
about 36 hours, I'll see how it all tastes.
I managed to do 3 roasts in a row, and put the base unit and chaff
collector in the freezer for 3 minutes between roasts, and noticed no
shortening of roast time when doing the second and third roasts. Ciao,
