| I think darker roasts are easier to grind and lighter roasts are harder to grind. Take that to a limit condition... green beans are *very* tough to grind! (DON'T try it - your grinder motor would probably die!) | [What's a] "intelligent people"? Maybe a sentient being that can make observations of existing situations and connect the observations to predict future situations. I may be a little slow but I see no future for flat burrs. The coffee particles would already have to be as small as the flat spacing. Whole beans couldn't even get a start.
