| Thanks for posting this, Ken. It's interesting to hear that you enjoyed it "straight up". Most people in the past have found it a bit much straight and have blended it. I have a pound that is about 2 years old that I have been afraid to try; maybe I should give it a whirl. | Ken, I have a couple of questions about the Indian Monsoon Malabar. Is this bean a robusta or an arabica? Sounds like an interesting cup. I see your roast settings but what roaster were you using? Did you purchase the bean from SM? Thanks for sharing your experience! | Ken B wrote: <Snip> I love this bean straight. I rarely blend anyway, I'm a "single origin" guy really. Blending for me only mutes the unique flavors from a particular bean. But, I've always loved this bean from the get go. Your description makes me want to go roast some I still have in my stash. :D -- Rick Copplehttp://www.rlcopple.com/Homeroast mailing list Homeroasthttp://www.sweetmariascoffee.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemIdx20">http://lists.sweetmariascoffee.com/listinfo.cgi/homeroast-sweetmariascoffee.comHomeroast community pictures -upload yours!) :http://www.sweetmariascoffee.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemIdx20 |
| Thanks for the writeup Ken. I just roasted a pound. I added half of it to an espresso blend, and I saved have for some S.O. action. I will have it on Monday. | Thanks for the encouragement, Ken. I think I will make the Monsooned Malabar an October coffee.
