| As to the Quickmill LaCora, as long as I don't leave it on overnight and I steam right after (not during) pulling a shot, yes. She's behaving just fine. But I gave up on the Livia 90A and its putative replacement Magister MS-40---Shop Espresso doesn't seem to know its @$$ from its elbow and my time and sanity are worth more than the $250 I gave them to fix the Livia and its value in its state of disrepair. I think they have cashflow problems, have already cannibalized Livia for parts and are like the proverbial turnip unable to yield blood should I manage to get them to answer the phone or e-mail were I to demand my money and/ or machine back. It's been over a year, and it's just not worth the time and aggravation to pursue them any further. | I know its just stereotypes speaking, but I've never heard of a lawyer giving up so easily! Don't let those thieves have it for anymore parts-- get it back from them and sell it as is. Or at least drop me a line I'll pay for shipping and try to fix it up my use.... On Mon, Aug 25, 2008 at 2:40 PM, Sandy Andina wrote: <Snip> -- -Kevin /* Never argue with an idiot. | They're very close to going under--place is always padlocked, and when I've been there it's been a filthy mess--parts all over the place, dust, paint flakes from the ceiling, just the owner and his not-too- swift son. Never answer their phones, either. I have done a lot of debt collection cases over the years--and one skill I've learned is to be able to discern when the point of diminishing returns has been reached. There comes a point when a lawyer needs to realize that even partial recovery of debt is either unlikely or so partial that it doesn't even approach the expense involved in pursuing it.
